Most Americans would love an alternative to their pumpkins sitting on the ground and rotting after Halloween.Hurling pumpkins is an evolving pastime throughout the USA creating a challenging and innovative sport for all ages. Pumpkin chucking utilizes mechanical intervention for distance. Devices include sling shots, catapults, centrifugals, trebuchets, and pneumatic (air) cannons.The pumpkins are organic and environmentally friendly after they succumb to gravity."Punkin Chunkin" competitions, formal and informal, are held in the United States in the fall and in early November .Delaware typically hosts the world championships.

This chalkboard is located at a restaurant in the center of the tourist town of Solvang, California. The chalkboard is used not only for the owners but also for patrons and their children.Most trips are not complete without stopping at a restaurant for a pastry or some sort of Danish delicacy.This board boosts creativity, entertains kids and adults and even helps with educational skills while communicating positive and uplifting messages.

‘Redeeming Justice’ is a memoir about Jarett Adams.
He was seventeen when an all-white jury sentenced him to prison for the crime of rape, a crime he didn’t commit.
After studying case law in prison, African American Jarrett Adams reached out to the Innocence Project.The case was heard in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and it was unanimously reversed. The case unraveled due to new evidence that police withheld a statement from a college student that vindicated Adams from the crime.Now a pioneering lawyer specializing in criminal defense, Adams recalls the journey that led to his exoneration.

Many customers enjoy taking the micro greens home, to eat as a replacement to junk food; or to add to their own food recipes at home or elswhere.
The restaurant can grow 1-3 crops at a time, produce up to 280 trays and net about $25 profit per tray .

Just outside of Victoria, British Columbia, this Canadian historical landmark of 55 acres has been preserved by 5 generations.Their contribution has been to turn cement empire from a limestone quarry into a garden preserved for the public.Butchart Gardens contains over 900 varieties of plants 26 greenhouses.With 100 years of development, the gardens boast wondering pathes, exotic trees, eclectic water fountains, and specialized gardens such as a Japanese garden, Dragon garden, Italian garden and rose garden.The grounds have been expanded to include special areas for concerts, festivities, spectacular lighting for night tours, a restaurant and gift shop.

In Alaska, whale watching is a major tourist attraction. There are over 20 tourist boats in Juneau alone.
Humpback whales are protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Act.The federal regulation insures that whales are protected from injury, killing, hunting capturing or harassment.
Vessels cannot approach whales within 100 yards or place themselves in the whale path causing the whales to surface within 100 yards of vessel.Captains must use a radio to coordinate other boaters and take turns viewing the whales as to not disturb them.Tourist companies are requested to educate passengers in regard to these regulations.
