Shark attacks are an issue worldwide, meaning there is a genuine need for shark-repellent products. My design incorporates shark-repellent technology into commonly used products. My products consist of a shark-repellent wetsuit, surfboard, and attachable device (all of which are harmless to sharks). These products are the first of their kind as they incorporate multiple protection points, thus creating a larger area of protection. This technology is invisible and will therefore not interfere with the user’s performance. I have created a solution for people who work from home or require an office solution in apartment style living that is collapsible. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic the number of people working from home has significantly increased. Sensory items help autistic individuals to regulate emotions and engage young children in an interactive activity with visual and tactile elements. I want to utilise recycled materials and fabric, for a more environmentally-friendly and cost-effective aspect, and the book to be a comfortable size, fit for safety of young children. Colour may communicate the ‘zones of regulation’ and relate to how emotions are deeply intertwined with colour. Moreover, I aim for the book to be able to disassemble and reassemble to suit the personal needs of the user. Any suggestions, ideas or input is greatly appreciated!
