The Safest Way to Get Scared in Washington State
A Stocker Farm owner in Washington State found a way to deal with the pandemic by creatively offering a Halloween attraction drive-thru.Entertaining and freakishly filled horror moments can be found on farms like this one called "Stalker Farm" around Halloween that helps with social distancing in lieu of the typical haunted house attraction.Use of professional actors, make up artists, original story lines and scenes, Stalker Farm drops you in the middle of a horror movie as you drive through it. This idea is taking off on many farms across the United States to create agri-tourism.

Robotic Delivery of Food on Campuses
Robots are being used on campuses in the United States. Parcels, food delivery and groceries can be taken by 100 pound robots owned by Starship. They are used at a variety of stores to deliver in places like UCLA where I recently visited and have been increasingly used on campuses throughout the U.S.A. They operate at a fraction of the cost of normal delivery . The items are delivered at the time the customer requests by way of a mobile app. They navigate around people and objects. The robots are electrically powered so they are green and clean.

Spicing it up in Space
Astronauts may someday not have to worry about bland food when going to Mars. A new experiment growing food for deeper space exploration and habitation was launched in early summer 2021 involving chili plant seedlings. Chili plants made the news in the last few days as they grew flowers on the Space Station after being pollinated with a little help from astronauts.

Wine pulled from the Sea Cellar
The Central Coast wines of California have a new competitor. A company named Ocean Fathoms, is filling iron cages the size of washing machines with wine bottles and dropping them down into the Pacific about 70 feet.By storing the wine in a place without light or oxygen, at a perfect temperature, and with the swaying of the ocean, the wine can improve dramatically boasts this company. The sea life that attaches to the wine bottles makes each unique. Each bottle is adorned with barnacles, coral, seashells and ornate hard shelled tubes formed by annelida sea worms.

Fruit stickers be gone!
Plastic Coated Fruit stickers. Hate them! Here's to banish them to the dustbin of history:- At the supermarket cashier, peel off each and every sticker, and leave them on the counter. Politely of course. If lots of us do it regularly, then the supermarkets will pressure the growers. Won't take long if you spread the word - there is a (very!) new LinkedIn group called 'Fruit Stickers Be Gone' to make sharing stories easy and to invite friends. If there are enough Likes and Comments here, I'll write to the Papers and get the Movement really rolling!
