Discarded sheep wool for fertiliser pellets
When producing high quality beautiful yarn nearly 40%  of the original fleece can be discarded. Traditionally, this “dodgy” wool is dumped at tips (usually in plastic bags). The discarded wool which is biodegradable and rich in nutrients is now being made into garden fertiliser pellets. A crowdfunding campaign enabled the NSW mill owners to buy the equipment they need to make the pellets. These natural pellets are good for the soil and prevent wool and plastic going to landfill. https://rb.gy/fnatd8

Flying Pumpkins.
Most Americans  would love an alternative to their pumpkins sitting on the ground and rotting after Halloween.Hurling pumpkins is an evolving pastime throughout the USA creating a challenging and innovative sport for all ages. Pumpkin chucking utilizes mechanical intervention for distance. Devices include sling shots, catapults, centrifugals, trebuchets, and pneumatic (air) cannons. The pumpkins are organic and environmentally friendly after they succumb to gravity."Punkin Chunkin" competitions, formal and informal, are held in the United States in the fall and  in early November .Delaware typically hosts the world championships.
