The Future of Farming
Contrary to popular belief, Israel did not invent the cherry tomato, but rather commercialized the growing and consumption practice. This is typical of the “startup nation” mentality – strong academic research backed by industrial buy-in, to profit from limited and diminishing economic resources. Coupling the above with entrepreneurial mindset means that technological inventions, such as the aforementioned, proves that Israel as a country is well-respected globally as an enterprising nation in the agriculture technology (agritech) space. So, what’s next?Read on to learn about the 5 universal challenges and which companies are solving them around the world: https://israeltrade.org.au/2022/02/16/the-future-of-farming/

Successful startups have much to be thankful for, be it venture capital investment, multi-national corporate acquisitions, global intellectual property offerings. Billions of cash is burnt for the benefit of stakeholders, but what about giving back? Chai - Life - in Hebrew, is characterized by the numerical letters 10 + 8 = Chet + Yud. So now, Israeli tech entrepreneurs are setting aside 1.8% of shares for social causes. The 1point8 initiative has been adopted by the likes of Amnon Shashua, Gigi Levy-Weiss, and Elie Wurtman.
