Helping Kids Take Social Action While Learning To Read
This program helps children learn about a social issue as they learn to read in their local language. At the same time it guides them in making a plan to address the social issue and share the fruit of their efforts with other children around the globe. The project is at www.Scriptastic.org.

Changing the world at 16!
Liam Foldi is 16 and created Kenshi Charity Candles as a Social Enterprise to make it easier for any person, club, school or charity to raise money easily. As a social enterprise he donates over half his profit to fund charities and worthy causes that make a real difference in the world. Kenshi is about enabling people that want to make a real difference to raise thousands of dollars without the uncomfortable task of asking for donations. Struggling to keep up with demand, he is collaborating with the Chin refugee community in Melbourne to produce the candles. After fleeing from civil war in Myanmar, these amazing people are now earning much needed income by making the candles here in Melbourne. https://kenshicandles.com/pages/our-story

Blue is an environmental movie with a difference. It captures the disaster that is microplastics and how they are killing our oceans and us. However it's upbeat about what each of us can do. At the end of the movie there was a simple and effective presentation about what each of us could do the next day, and every day to remove plastic from our lives. No preaching just simple, actionable and repeatable actions. Worth going to watch and learn. https://bluethefilm.org/

Visit Cambodia and help to educate children
Cambodia has a chronic lack of an educated professional workforce to provide the teachers, trained nurses, accountants, engineers, doctors and administrators needed to build an economically and socially healthier and stronger country. Opportunity Cambodia is helping to change this situation At the end of 2018 their first group of high school students passed the National Exam and became eligible to apply to university. This is an impressive achievement for young people who come from the poorest families, where parents are illiterate and have little hope for the future. You can donate to help, connect them with a school or volunteer. Volunteers need to have tertiary education or?training, energy, imagination, adaptability, commitment AND be over the age of 18, want to stay at least one month and be happy to live during the week in a rural village
