Luxury accessories from fire-hoses
In 2005, when the Founders of Elvis & Kresse learned that London's damaged decommissioned fire-hoses were headed to landfill, they set up their operation to save and recycle them. For over a decade none of London’s fire-hoses have gone to landfill and over 300 tonnes of material has been reclaimed.  In 2017 the Burberry Foundation partnered with Elvis & Kresse to tackle the even greater global problem of leather waste. This Five-year partnership is resulting in 120 tonnes of leather off-cuts from Burberry being re-crafted into new luxury items, designed and sold by Elvis & Kresse. https://www.elvisandkresse.com/pages/about-us-2

Powering up Australia’s Nuclear Skills Forum
In years gone by, Australian manufacturing had the benefit of cheap, abundant energy. This helped companies like BHP to build steel mills and for Boral to produce roof tiles, plasterboard, asphalt, and bricks. However, over the last 10 years, Australia’s high energy costs and declining energy security have impaired the ability of local manufacturers to compete globally.“The cost of energy in Australia has gone through the roof. It is pulling the handbrake on business and cutting the opportunities for the next generation of manufacturers. It is time for the nuclear option,” said Michael SharpeSee https://www.amgc.org.au/news/powering-up-australias-nuclear-skills-forum/

Calling All Aussie Innovators
Polestar and AMGC, is calling on Australian and global suppliers, researchers, entrepreneurs, businesses, and investors to put forward the best cleantech ideas to assist with the development of a truly climate-neutral vehicle – a feat yet to be achieved by any automotive marque. The vehicle, aimed to be launched in 2030 and code-named the Polestar 0 Project, will be developed with the single goal of eliminating emissions from the entire supply chain including all logistics and support functions rather than planting trees to offset CO2 emissions.See https://polestar.teamtailor.com/jobs/1568422-polestar-0-project/3cefb7c2-aa3a-4f97-ba2a-2559353e7a05
