Disaster Shelters For Refugees An Innovative Idea
Designed by Jordanian and Canadian architect Abeer Seikaly called ‘Weaving a Home’ is a tent-like shelter that provides easily transportable, temporary shelters, allowing migrants to be self sufficient. The structure is composed of durable plastic, fabric tubes that are threaded to form a singular unit and arranged into a 2m high dome. The joining of two layers of fabric creates a structure that mimics snake scales. There are various interesting technical features. Exposure to the surrounding elements can be controlled by manipulating the units. Elements can be opened or closed, to allow for air flow or prevent heat from escaping.

Future way of Reforestation & Climate change: A Drone which can plant 100k trees in a hour
While the traditional uses of drones are typically commercial or recreational, one UK-based company is using them to help the environment. BioCarbon Engineering has teamed up with drone manufacturer Parrot to create a system for autonomously planting trees to fight deforestation.According to the World Economic Forum, the world cuts down roughly 15 billion trees but only plants 9 billion. This is in part because replanting manually is very slow and expensive. The drone-based system on the other hand is able to plant trees ten times faster than humans, for 85% less money, and in places humans can't reach.
