Plans have been made for what could be the world's first Tesla Town- a mini-suburb on the outskirts of the Melbourne CBD whose homes will include rooftop solar and Tesla battery storage as standard design features. The Venice Architecture Biennale 2016 opens from May 28 to Nov 27 and the Danish Pavillion is a must see. Danish studio EFFEKT is showcasing a self-sustaining, off-grid village of greenhouse properties called ReGen Villages. The project imagines a community of buildings that produce all their own food and energy- a model that aims to address global issues such as food and water scarcity and the rise of CO2 emissions.
