The Venice Architecture Biennale 2016 opens from May 28 to Nov 27 and the Danish Pavillion is a must see. Danish studio EFFEKT is showcasing a self-sustaining, off-grid village of greenhouse properties called ReGen Villages. The project imagines a community of buildings that produce all their own food and energy- a model that aims to address global issues such as food and water scarcity and the rise of CO2 emissions.
