World Microbiome Day: Diversity Matters

post-image
World Microbiome Day was celebrated on June 27, with the theme of #diversitymatters! Diversity when related to the human gut microbiome means how many bacteria species a person has and how evenly spread they are. This is seen as a positive health indicator! Microorganisms (e.g. bacteria, fungi, viruses, archaea, etc) can be found everywhere in and on plants, animals, water, soil, food and humans. https://worldmicrobiomeday.com/ To learn more about their importance in your gut you can read this blog | https://www.microba.com/blog/microbial-diversity-the-key-to-improving-gut-health/
