Acts of kindness happen every day in healthcare settings. Has a specific act of kindness stuck with you?

Whether you work in healthcare or have been touched by those who do Hush Foundation is holding a Kindness in Health Writing Competition and invites submissions of fiction, non-fiction, or poetry up to 1,000 words.

With great prizes, amazing judges and an opportunity to spread some kindness, put those thoughts to paper and get your submission in before March 31st

New cancer drug kinder than chemotherapy

Blinatumomab or blina was the only real option for young British cancer paitent Arthur after his chemo had failed to clear all of his cancer and had left him very weak.Michelle Roberts, BBC digital health editor reports that blina is an immunotherapy that seeks out cancer cells so the body's own immune system can recognise and destroy them.Roberts writes, 'Doctors say blina can replace big chunks of chemo - perhaps up to 80% of it.'
