Why are (too many) patients getting COVID in hospitals?

Too many patients are getting COVID in hospitals.

These infections can be reduced with good Infection Prevention controls.

Why is this not happening?

Good point. The only time I have ever had COVID was straight after day surgery. I was negative when I was admitted then positive 2 days later mid last year.
