MDA, an international space mission partner has developed Canadarm, that lifts heavy equipment and performs complex maintenance on the International Space Station.

This innovation  led to the development of  Neuroarm, a robot that is able to perform surgery within MRI scanners (magnetic resonance machines). MDA and University of Calgary have partnered and  developed this technological advance allowing surgeons to perform complicated procedures,  using a robot hand as precise a human hand.
