Robotic lab assistant accelerates research

post-image
Scientists at the UK’s University of Liverpool have built a robotic lab assistant that's able to perform experiments 1,000 times faster than a human lab assistant, working round the clock. This accelerates testing and research and could lead to faster development of medications as well as results from complex testing medical procedures.

A bonus that speed is not necessarily the main point. Another benefit is that it allows scientists to explore avenues of research they wouldn’t waste a human’s time on.
