Magnetic Resonance Imaging for studying how food alters gastrointestinal content

post-image

Imaging the human gastrointestinal tract using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers a non-invasive approach for studying the behavior of food materials and fluids in the context of gastrointestinal function and transit. Non-invasive, this approach explores how solid and liquid meals may alter the stomach, small intestine and large intestine.

This allows researchers to see how a meal is diluted and becomes accessible to digestive enzymes. | http://bit.ly/2TZMO1t
