the challenge is getting people to let family members know their wishes so they are not overridden. Anything to encourage organ donation is good, but not sure how well this will go

Good point! I think if it's part of a software platform rather than on your license the benefit will be you can share your intention with family and friends so they see it in writing and have a chance to disagree before anything happens.
