Australians to buy more medicines for less money

ABC reporters Stephanie Dalzeil and Emmy Groves write that the cost of hundreds of medicines will be halved for millions of Australians with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease.

From September 2023, they will be able to buy 60 days' worth of medicine for the price of a single prescriptions.

Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) chief executive Elizabeth Deveny said, 'Consumers are telling us that they can't afford the health care.'  They can't afford out-of-pocket costs for visits to GPs.
