Australian biotech Microbio has had their InfectID-COVID-19 tests approved for sale in Europe. A revolutionary pathogen identification test, InfectID is a rapid, highly sensitive and adaptable test which addresses different target pathogens. Two SARS-CoV-2 tests by Microbio have been developed and received approval for sale in Europe under IVD Directive 98/79/EC. This approval enables the privately held scale-up to move into additional international markets, including India, North America, Africa, and Asia.
