Scientists have discovered a way to modify an existing antibiotic. 5 times more potent in targeting metastatic cancer cells and stopping them from spreading, this modification also renders the antibiotic elements ineffective, removing the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. While clinical trials are yet to be conducted, it is a promising start to a possible approach to treatment and even prevention.
