I still need a charger for my new iPhone 6S and decided on this blue one I saw at a recent Global Sources electronics fair in HK that looks good and is easy to hold then bought a matching cord at JB HiFi in Sydney.
In Shanghai we went to to a Tea House to learn about chinese teas. I couldn't resist buying 2 "dragon" mugs that cleverly change colour when boiling water is added. Here you see the original red one with one that has just changed colour. I also discovered oolong tea there. I have always liked green tea but oolong is better and has half the caffeine. One of the most famous Chinese teas, Oolong, meaning ?black dragon?, is semi-fermented, with a richly perfumed aroma filled with nuts and fruit and smooth buttery flavours.
On a visit to the Global Sources Electronics fair we tried this scooter car modelled on the Stegway which is being banned on roads and pavements. This one looks like fun if you can learn how to balance on it and use it in parks with flat surfaces.
We were in Melbourne city this week playing tourist, looking at a map trying to find the art deco Her Majesty's Theatre, and a woman in red asked if she could help. What a clever idea to have volunteer City Ambassadors! They can be mainly found along Swanston Street, at corners such as Flinders Street and Bourke Street.
A group in Eastern Sydney called The Change Angels is raising money to help protect victims of domestic violence using hula dolls. Macho men are encouraged to show their support by buying these dolls for their car dashboards- a clever way to support the cause.
My daughter left home and left all her Hello Kitty behind. I decided to display them on a table in her room and she calls it her Shrine to Hello Kitty- a clever label for a very clever range that appeals to girls and makes great presents!
