The History of Cuban Dance was one of the short films you could see in virtual reality, sitting on a revolving stool so you could follow the surrounding scenes of dancing from rumba to salsa. This demonstration was part of the Sydney Film Festival.

Ethereum is a new rival blockchain and virtual currency to Bitcoin which allows for the programming of smart contracts, or computer code that facilitates or enforces a set of rules. Commercial lawyers are watching the arrival of Ethereum closely given the potential for smart contracts in the future to affect their role in drafting and exchanging paper contracts. Smart contracts are currently being used to digitise business rules, but may soon move to codify legal agreements leading to less need for lawyers.

The ladies lounge off the dress circle foyer of the State Theatre in Sydney is called the Futurists' Room and was a 1920's view of future interior design, reflecting the cubist and modernist art of the day with the main element being the triangle.

Deloitte Australia engaged American-born art consultant Barbara Flynn to advise on their office design. She came up with the unique idea of rotating exhibitions in the main public floors, which receive up to 6,000 visitors per week. Deloitte have supported Australian artists with two exhibitions a year since 2005. The artworks are sourced from Sydney and Melbourne?s commercial galleries, with usually 2-3 pieces purchased for the permanent collection. One of the artworks currently on display is called Odd Waters by Honey Long and Prue Stent.
