A lasting tale of loved ones
Traditional family trees, written biographies and paper records can fail to bring alive the personality, tenor and experiences of family.  Enter Dimity Brassel and her team of professional journalists who interview and capture the unique histories and lives of everyday people. Once curated the audio episodes not only directly capture the individual's history, but they also capture the very sounds, the laughter, indeed the very melody of your loved ones. A lasting, priceless tale.https://www.alastingtale.com/

ALICK TIPOTI- Preserving the Torres Strait Islander Culture
Alick Tipoti is a world renowned professional artist from Badu Island in the Torres Strait. His work depicts many meaningful symbols about the Land Sea & Sky of his country through traditional Melanesian patterns. Alick translates & interprets images of his spiritual ancestors and their totems. He also shares & educates general ancient knowledge about Torres Strait Islander culture. Most of his works are accompanied by traditional Chants, Songs & Dance. He is one of very few people today who speaks his Language of Kala Lagaw Ya fluently, this is the central reason for his art practice.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y51Rj49qybo

COP28 and the 1st Global Stocktake
COP28 is set to begin 30 November in the United Arab Emirates. As part of proceedings, it will present the results of the 1st Global Stocktake. An early look indicates that we are not on track to achieve the goals set in the Paris Agreement. In the attached McKinsey early summary, the findings come in under Mitigation, Adaptation, Finance, Knowledge Sharing and Next Steps. There's an emphasis on urgency of action (not a surprise). "It’s clear that the time is now for international cooperation, equitable climate action, and sustainable transformation across all sectors".
