Open Source Anonymous Street Art
ADG design anonymous Street Art- with a political message. This UK Collective make eye-catching posters that challenge ideas about capitalism & the state. All their work is open-source, editable, and printable so it can be mass produced and pasted everywhere over and over again. The group want to confront people with leftist politics in their day-to-day lives: in the street, on the bus, on the hoarding of that new block of flats on your way to work. www.weareadg.org

Ben Quilty’s New Regional Gallery
Acclaimed artist Ben Quilty realised his ambition of establishing a public gallery in his neighbourhood, in the southern highlands of New South Wales: Ngununggula opened its doors with an exhibition called High Jinks in the Hydrangeas, a collection of photographs and installations by Sydney artist Tamara Dean. Last weekend the gallery – a repurposed heritage-listed dairy in Retford Park on the outskirts of Bowral – unveiled its latest show, Spring Collection: an exhibition of new works by veteran painter/designer/entrepreneur Ken Done, and craft-based installation artist Rosie Deacon. www.ngununggula.com

Wisdom of AI Light
The top bill of the Illuminate festival is Wisdom of AI Light, an immersive digital performance in which the audience experience art meshed with science at breakneck speed. Billed as a “digital renaissance”, it is much more than that. Held in a large pop-up space, the creators are the Istanbul-based Ouchhh Studio who are exploring the limits of what machines can do. Spurred on by Alan Turing’s Computing machinery and intelligence (1950), a host of digital artists have been exploring how machines replace the artist in thinking, making art and music. www.southaustralia.com/products/adelaide/event/ouchhh-studio-wisdom-of-ai-light

Deadly Denim
Deadly Denim was founded in 2018 by Rebecca Rickard a Ballardong, Whadjuk woman from the Nyungar nation in Perth W.A. The label has grown from a small collection of 20 recycled denim jackets at the Cinefest Film festival. Over the past 12 months, we have loved adding DD jacket workshops as part of our label. “Art is an access point for people to come together and connect with culture,” says Rebecca. “When art and fashion come together under the value of sustainability, it creates a safe space for people to ask questions, tell stories, and learn from each other.” www.deadlydenim.com.au/our-story

Perfect Match Street Art
Perfect Match is a unique initiative by the Inner West Council as a way of tackling unwanted graffiti through fostering legitimate creative expression and art in public spaces. The Perfect Match approach brings artists, residents, businesses, property owners and community together to collaboratively create fantastic new street artworks in public places. Property owners are invited to find their Perfect Match by nominating their wall to be transformed by an artist. Artists submit their designs and ideas. Look out for the work of Hugues Sineux, Kim Siew, Nico Nicoson, Alex Lehours among others www.innerwest.nsw.gov.au/live/living-arts/perfect-match
