We had a lovely Christmas dinner at Maialino Restaurant in Gramercy Park New York and were very pleased with their no tipping policy. Tips in NY can be expected at 20% plus and it was great that they're not encouraged, including on special days like Christmas. Staff like the policy as well as their income is more certain.
