A la carte healthy school lunches
The French believe that teaching healthy eating routines to children is a priority, along with reading. School lunch menus are planned in advance and children are served 3-4 course meals with proper cutlery and water, instead of bringing their own lunch to school. Historically, France has been known for its slender people and longevity. To combat increasing obesity levels France passed a law in 2005 banning soda-and-snack-selling vending machines from public schools. https://karenlebillon.com/french-school-lunch-menus/

Enjoy a glass of fine wine without opening the bottle
With Coravin, you can pour a glass of even your most precious bottles of corked wine, no waste or special occasion required. This Coravin wine pourer was spotted at Gary Farrell Winery in Healdsburg, CA. No need to open a bottle of wine to enjoy one or 2 glasses -the Coravin goes through the cork to pour and then is removed leaving the cork intact and the bottle sealed. www.coravin.com

Mosaic sushi
This is a simple concept. Put some pieces of sushi together in a square with some imagination and you've created mosaic sushi. Simple, yes, but also very creative and it makes normal sushi look boring. This idea has become very popular in Japan and is likely to spread.
