Qantas A330 flights now let you rate films you see. This is the first time I've been given this opportunity and it should make the people rating on films more representative of people who see them on flights. I took the opportunity to rate a wonderful documentary on Peggy Guggenheim during a flight from Sydney to Jakarta.
The Art Gallery of Western Australia has introduced a robot tour guide. The 58 centimetre tall robot called Aggie will take tours around parts of the gallery every month. The tours, designed to appeal to both adults and children, will engage viewers with information about the painters and the paintings. The annual Vivid Festival has now started in Sydney. Vivid Sydney 2016 is a festival of lights, ideas and music. The festival will last until June 18, with the lights shining from 6pm until 11pm each night. The iconic Sydney Opera House is one of many buildings lit in vivid colours.
Shimla, which used to be the Summer capital in British India, is a smoke-free city- the 4th in India. Many cities now have bans on smoking in selected areas --it's great to see it enforced for the whole city and a surprise to see it in India.
