The DALL-E Invitational
DALL-E asked designers to create rooms, objects, and other weird experiments using tools like ChatGPT and the image-generation program DALL-E. What will AI in the future mean?: Will machines take over the world and the design industry? How scared should we be? These are questions to ask. DALL-E allows you to generate an endless stream of fictitious images based on whatever prompt you plug in. Eg The Hand Chair. Louise Bourgeois and Franz West make a chair out of hands as in a Brutalist building. The outcome of 2 artists works melded together. Louise-bourgeois & Franz West.

Ukrainian Artist - Crafting fantastical headgear from paper
Ukrainian artist Asya Kozina has been creating historical and fantastical costumes out of paper since 2007. Inspired by baroque and rococo wigs and designers such as Philip Treacy and Iris van Herpen, she uses synthetic paper to build intricate headpieces. In 2019, Dolce & Gabbana bought two of Kozina’s creations. At last year’s Metropolitan fashion week in Los Angeles, she created a costume inspired by the architecture of her country. “I chose the House with Chimaeras which is symbolic for all Ukrainians - it has become a symbol of the resilience of the Ukrainian people”.
