An artistic unfolding of light
Lumio re-imagines lamp light. It engages you by presenting the device somewhat like a magic trick. When closed, Lumio can sit on a shelf inconspicuously and appear to be a book with a wooden or fabric cover. Yet when opened, the rechargeable LED light shines through the ?book?s? Tyvek pages with a warm glow. Because it isn?t tethered to an outlet by a cord, Lumio can sit on a table, on a bed and even outside on a patio. A leather strap that?s included with the kit can transform it into a pendant light suspended from the ceiling or even a tree branch in the woods. http://www.hellolumio.com

Criminals promoting a police museum
I was quite surprised when I saw these life-size figures in the dark near Circular Quay Sydney. When I looked more closely I saw that they were criminals from the early 1900's standing in front of the Justice and Police museum- a clever way to attract attention to the museum. www.sydneylivingmuseums.com.au/justice-police-museum

A garbage bin that's fun to use
Waste is a big concern for cities. Sencity seeks to fight this apathy by turning litter disposal into a game with its new TetraBIN, a connected trash bin that rewards you for tossing out your garbage. https://www.engadget.com/2017/03/04/tetrabin-smart-garbage-can/

Gold BMW spotted in Sydney
I spotted a gold BMW in Sydney near Chinatown last week, I've never seen a gold car before and wonder why there are so many silver cars but no gold?
