Why Finland has a top education system

Most importantly Finland recognises that good teachers are essential-only the top 10% of graduates are accepted into teaching programs. In addition, standardised testing is kept to a minimum-Finland's only standardised test is taken when students are 16 years old; kids have more time to be kids-they don't start school until 7 and rarely do any homework until their teens. The result is a high school graduation rate of 93%, Finnish students' mean test scores (PISA) lead non-Asian countries and about 2 in 3 students go on to college. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/09/10-reasons-why-finlands-education-system-is-the-best-in-the-world
