A walk after a heavy meal is good to get the body moving.  But research shows it’s best to wait an hour or so before heading for the door. This  is due to our levels of blood glucose which rise after a meal and reach a peak about an hour after eating, explains researcher Dr Evelyn Parr from the Australian Catholic University’s Exercise and Nutrition Research Program.
