The more understanding governments and their agencies obtain about how airlines operate flights and passenger ticketing systems, the better placed they will be to allow people to travel internationally soon.
Issues include:
-International airlines have told BARA the current method of allocating individual flights a set number of capped passengers will not work with the move to home quarantine for approved vaccinated passengers
-the vaccination status QR codes for Australians will currently cover only those vaccinated in Australia, as they are linked to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)
-the processes for both departures and arrivals, covering passengers and aircrew, will need to be substantially streamlined
