Pop up Pedal Parks

Sections of Clovelly Beach and Chifley Sports Reserve car parks in Sydney will be temporarily turned into pop-up pedal parks. They will provide a safe and accessible space for local families to use for outdoor recreation such as bike riding, scooter riding and ball games and will be in place from Friday 26 June to Monday 31 August 2020.

During the COVID-19 pandemic when beaches and beachside car parks were closed, local families embraced many of the closed car parks turning them into temporary bike tracks and outdoor recreation spaces.

Paired kidney program leading to more kidney donations in Australia

Australian and New Zealand Paired Kidney Exchange Is going gang busters at increasing the number of kidneys donated / transplant patients into people that need them. Last year was a record year with 1/5 of all living kidney donors came from this program. The program allows friends and family who want to donate a kidney to a loved one but aren't a good medical match, to be paired with others in the same situation.
