Very encouraging that Apple and Google have collaborated to create this new app. For it to be effective, more than 40% of Australians need to download it.  More than 50% of Australians downloaded Pokémon so the objective is achievable. Public health authorities have identified contact tracing as a valuable tool to contain the spread of COVID-19.  The app will ensure health authorities can get the full picture and not rely solely on the memory of an infected person. It will help identify people who might not even know they are carrying the virus – protecting them, their family and the community more broadly.
