Ankle bracelets need no more be kept solely for inmates after jail time. Phone tracking is not compulsory in Australia and many have not opted into the Australian app.

Simply put, Australia, utilising State-based approaches to monitor infected Australians and returned travellers, cannot cope with monitoring where the Covid infections are and if they are contained.

Very encouraging that this idea will facilitate home quarantine. It should be tested given the successful pilot in Israel.

It could also create a new business for transport from the airport to home. Who will run it? Uber? DiDi? Or someone else?
