Is it safe to fly?

Qantas says yes. Medical experts have confirmed that Coronavirus IS NOT an airborne virus, so it can't be spread through the cabin air conditioning system.

Qantas ensures that their aircraft have the highest air quality and have HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters installed in their aircraft filtration systems. These are the same type of filters that are used in hospital operating rooms.

The most important thing to avoid catching any virus is to wash your hands and avoid touching your face.

Some customers travelling with Qantas have tested positive for Coronavirus. You can view the full list of services they travelled on.
