Exercise your way out of depression

“If exercise was a pill, it would fly off the shelves.”

Exercise can be a powerful tool to fight depression and should be routinely prescribed as part of treatment plans, according to UQ research paper published in The BMJ.


Certain types of exercise can benefit different age / gender demographics & the exercise program should be tailored to the individual for the best benefits.  

The report say support is needed to help people get going with physical activity, and to keep going.
