Concerned at being unable to purchase hand sanitiser for her medical practice, Practice Manager Anna Davidson took matters into her own, now sanitised, hands.
First, she contacted a chemicals company, Manildra, and convinced them to divert their ethanol production for hand sanitiser use. Then, she partnered with another local company, Sydney-based Water Test Systems, to create the final product.
Riwka Hagen, admin of a Facebook group for more than 3500 practice managers, shared information and an order form: five litres of hand sanitiser for just $125.
Within 10 days they had seen more than 3600 orders. Hat tip Crikey.
