Australian clothing company develops face masks from revolutionary fabric

Non-surgical face masks have been launched by Australian clothing company, Threadsmiths, utilising the revolutionary Polartec® Power Wool from their existing clothing to assist in protecting Australians from exposure to airborne germs.

With many Australian businesses looking for ways to contribute to home-grown manufacturing to assist in the fight against COVID-19, Threadsmiths has stepped up to repurpose their Dumont collection pieces, turning them into face masks by hand in their Melbourne production facility.

Made of a merino wool interior and a synthetic fibre exterior, the face mask features a distinct surface, created to optimise moisture control, breathability, and durability.
