The COVID-19 crisis has revealed the extreme social inequality and poverty in developing countries. In the South American nation of Paraguay, an open source, non governmental initiative, allows citizens to request and offer help by their location. The website is helping individuals amidst the lack of support from government and the poor health infrastructure of the country. The platform gets thousands of daily requests of basic items such as milk, bread or medicines. It has its open source code on GitHub, so anyone can help to make the project better or adapt it.
