A Positive Pandemic Plan (PPP)

post-image
IdeaSpies has collected ideas to help develop a Pandemic Plan and these are the best so far:

  1. All people coming to Australia to be vaccinated
  2. Home quarantine, maybe with the electronic bracelet or a facial recognition app
  3. All staff in aged care and child care to be vaccinated
  4. Vaccination via pop up clinics, walk-in vaccine hubs, pharmacies and workplaces
  5. Incentives to vaccinate
  6. Advertising that encourages vaccination
  7. Free antigen self tests
  8. A traffic light system for international travel
  9. A heath pass or a vaccine passport
  10. People who are vaccinated can travel interstate and internationally (date to be announced ASAP)

What do you think?

This is an excellent plan. The only thing I would add is for a mobile vaccination system to go around to places and vaccinate people that can't easily get to a vaccination centre - a mobile ambulance. This could work for aged care workers that have trouble scheduling work and other things. I've nick-named it the Vicky Vax Van! And maybe they could borrow the old Mrs Whippy trucks and you could hear them coming and go out and get vaxed.

Absolutely support clear planning now, so flights can be booked in advance: organised for families, airport infrastructure and airline companies.

  1. All people coming to Australia to be vaccinated Agree
  2. Home quarantine, maybe with the electronic bracelet or a facial recognition app Not keen on electronic bracelet, an app will do the trick
  3. All staff in aged care and child care to be vaccinated yes and all support workers including school staff
  4. Vaccination via pop up clinics, walk-in vaccine hubs, pharmacies and workplaces yes
  5. Incentives to vaccinate, more freedoms
  6. Advertising that encourages vaccination yes
  7. Free antigen self tests perhaps
  8. A traffic light system for international travel yes
  9. A heath pass or a vaccine passport yes
  10. People who are vaccinated can travel interstate and internationally (date to be announced ASAP) yes

Thank you for your ideas Lyn Wood.

LoveBees Jenny -Thanks very much for your comments. This plan was published before the Government plan and I'm very pleased to see all the points happening now, especially the last point allowing international travel if you're vaccinated.
