The railway tracks running past Lavender Bay and Luna Park in North Sydney will be transformed into a pedestrian “high line” under a re-elected Coalition government, the NSW premier has promised.
He said that the 3.3-kilometre passage would rival similar attractions in Paris and New York City, and boast unparalleled harbour views.
The project began in 2016 when residents of Lavender Bay and Milson’s Point proposed to convert the train line between Lavender Bay and Waverton Station into the Sydney Harbour High Line (aka SHHL).
