A dementia village

Korongee village is a $25 million project being built in the suburb of Glenorchy in Hobart, which is expected to change the way we help dementia sufferers.?It will feature a village structure based on a typical Tasmanian cul-de-sac streetscape that allows residents to feel at home and wander freely within a safe and supported environment for ageing. http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-07-19/australian-first-dementia-village-set-to-open-in-tasmania/8724772?pfmredir=sm

I think an op shop would enable the residents to spend time browsing and would be a way to recycle clothing and jewelry, shoes, handbags etc. Also a theatre that showed movies of their era with a nice sweet shop and cafe. Jean Quinn.

A very thoughtful and clever idea Jean. I know Save the Chilldren run op shops. Other charities do as well. Lynn

Very kind of you. There must be a movie lover in the area as well who could show movies. Lynn
