Green Hydrogen With 90% Efficiency Without Electrolysis
There are two main arguments against hydrogen use in transportation. The first is that it is mostly generated from fossil fuels, which does not make it helpful against climate change. Second: when it is genuinely green, it is obtained through electrolysis, a process that is only 70% to 80% efficient... Scientists at Tel Aviv University plan to kill that argument with a method that is over 90% efficient in generating green hydrogen. It makes sense that an established automaker will try to keep things as they are, but that will bite them back when competitors find a better way...https://israeltrade.org.au/2023/07/31/israeli-researchers-produce-green-hydrogen-with-90-efficiency-without-electrolysis/

Women's Safety as a Man's Issue
Violence against women is a pervasive issue that demands collective efforts to address and eliminate it.  White Ribbon Australia is engaging men to make women's safety a man's issue too. Transforming men from passive observers to change agents requires a multi-faceted approach that combines education, awareness campaigns, community engagement, and policy reform.White Ribbon has Community Partner and Community Action Group Models that equip and empower Australian men with a peer network, education and practical ways to unleash change in their communityhttps://www.whiteribbon.org.au

Freedoms worth Fighting for
Aggressors misjudge free people, thinking they will not stand up for their values. The Ukraine war and the severe tensions in the Taiwan Straits offer stark reminders that security of territory, culture, prosperity or liberal pluralist social conditions are just one despot, invasion or campaign of intervention away from us on any day. The men and women of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) are operating in training conditions and strategic landscapes that are full of high level cyber threat, peer to peer potential warfare and more. However they are up to it, being both progressive and professional.

Coping in a time of Polycrisis
Adam Tooze of Columbia University has looked at the complexity of challenges facing the global community: economics, politics, geopolitics, and environmental issues overlap to produce a polycriris.   “As publics lose perspective, forfeit historical knowledge, rely on self-reinforcing media and prioritise emotion over reason, the distrust between the people and the governing class will become entrenched. Australia has this problem to a lesser extent than other democracies but our problem is real and serious.” (Paul Kelly, The Australian)Australian politicians must grasp this complexity and fully engage the community to ensure social cohesion and the survival of our democracy.
