Children who experience autism can be hypersensitive to certain stimuli such as light, sound and taste. If a combination of these happens at the same time, this can lead to an overstimulation or sensory overload and cause a meltdown. I aim to design and construct a product that creates a ‘safe space’ for children with autism, as well as providing a place to learn in a classroom and at home.
