Xtreme Cooling Towels
These Xtreme cooling towels from Realgear.com are a clever idea. You just dunk them in water - preferably cold. Environmentally safe chemical beads then instantly drop the temperature for hours of cooling. Great for beach or gym.

A hotel that greets you with a robot
This possibility is a reality at Japan's new completely robot-run Henn-na Hotel (which roughly translates to 'Strange Hotel') in Nagasaki. Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by three "friendly" robots at the front desk. Guests are encouraged to "enjoy conversations with robots with a humanly kind of warmth, while they work efficiently".After checking in, one of two "porter robots" will help transport guests' bags to their room.

If you love art deco you'll love this restaurant
It was a clever idea of the famous Australian chef Neil Perry to relocate one of his top restaurants, Rockpool Bar and Grill, to this beautiful American style 1936 art deco building. Here you see Catalina, one of their very well groomed waitresses who offer wonderful service (as do the waiters!).

Ugly fruit and vegetables becoming popular
For years major grocery chains have been tossing ugly fruit and vegetables that don't meet "beauty"' standards. However now some grocers are realising, encouraged by www.change.org, that it's a clever idea to promote ugly items to health conscious consumers at a discount rather than bin them.
