City Ambassadors
We were in Melbourne city this week playing tourist, looking at a map trying to find the art deco Her Majesty's Theatre, and a woman in red asked if she could help. What a clever idea to have volunteer City Ambassadors! They can be mainly found along Swanston Street, at corners such as Flinders Street and Bourke Street.

Aldi Mum turns Praise into Profit
Sam Jockel started a Facebook page Aldi Mum in 2010 because she liked the store and thought other mums would be interested in views on the products that are not branded, hence risky to buy.?She quickly gained 5,000 members and after 6 months and cleverly decided to monetise the operation. Now Aldi pays for reviews of their products through her site-reported in the AFR.

How to get rid of graffiti
Ever wondered how graffiti is dealt with in your community? I saw this truck today labelled "GRAFFITI MANAGEMENT" and the driver told me there are 3 in our community dealing with the issue every day. I was surprised that this was the first time I had seen this clever idea!

Winner-top 10 public toilets in the world
We walk past this toilet every weekend and my friend just told me that it had won this award, so I looked at it more closely! It's a very clever design that complements the park environment. The toilets for men and women are separated on each side but the washroom is combined. The open design also makes it more secure to use. Now I appreciate it more!

Prime Air, a future delivery system from Amazon, is designed to safely get packages to customers in 30 minutes or less using small unmanned aerial vehicles, also called drones. Putting Prime Air into service will take some time, but will happen when they have the necessary regulatory support.

Wearable technology- a jacket that navigates
Billie Whitehouse, co-founder of Wearable Experiments, took the stage in London recently wearing her new Urban Wayfinding Jacket, which lets you navigate through a city without staring down at your phone so you can see more around you. The jacket works by giving you a tap on the shoulder when it's time to change direction. Her company's mission is to bring together fashion and technology with functional design.
