Connecting universities with student influencers in an online marketplace
Since COVID-19 began, universities have struggled with dwindling international student arrivals, and have turned their focus to engaging with future domestic students. Student Garden is an online marketplace, where educational institutions can source student's 'user-generated content' to incorporate into their own marketing campaigns. This comes as university marketing departments are aiming to engage with more domestic students through authentic video content, and on a smaller marketing budget. LITT Breaks Crowdfunding Records
The Western Australian company LITT, a social media startup dubbed as the “Facebook alternative” broke crowdfunding records on Tuesday. In just 40 minutes the company had raised $500,000, followed by the second fastest CFS raise to $1 million after just 11 hours. The app is a hybrid of social media, e-commerce, digital payments and augmented reality advertising that is focused on local communities. Allowing local communities to support each other.
