As we continue to battle the tides of the so-called great resignation after COVID-19, the workforce emphasis on wellness has become the main focus for many business leaders, as well as their employees. Work and wellness are often seen as opposing terms, and we know that 1 in 5 employees resigned in 2021, citing personal wellbeing as one of the main causes for leaving.
One new startup tapping into this $94 billion market is the company Wellbase. They have created the world's first employee's holistic wellness platform, proving the impact of holistic interventions on ROI and business health. https://www.wellbase.com.au/
Nothing is more exciting being in the startup ecosystem than seeing innovative ideas solve problems.
One problem that is increasingly on everyone's mind is the issue of waste in the retail industry, and particularly the clothing industry, which we know is a serious environmental issue. One tech startup helping to solve this issue is the startup Ardorne. Who are aiming to reduce 800,00 tonnes of fast fashion waste that enters landfills every year by helping shoppers purchase clothes they love online with the help of AR technology that allows shoppers to virtually try on clothing.

One thing that I love about being in startup land, is seeing these innovative ideas come in and 'disrupt' the industry. One startup that is definitely one to look out for is Oscar, a real time, on demand platform for sharing private parking spaces, such as driveways, garages, for any hour during that day that it's not being used. Here Hosts can provide their free spaces for a certain time period to which users can select their most preferred parking times. For those of us living in the big cities this is an innovative solution of a common problem. https://www.sharewithoscar.com.au/about-us/
