World first- a tile made from pollution

CarbonCraft, Mumbai has developed a unique carbon removal technique of capturing the carbon from the air and incorporating it within creatively designed tiles. One Carbon Tile is equivalent to cleaning 30,000 litres of air.
The captured pollution is initially processed to remove harmful heavy metal impurities and fused with a mixture of cement and natural materials like marble derivatives to craft Carbon Tiles.

Magnetic Attraction: Microplastics

A Kyushu University study (2021) estimated there were 24.4 trillion pieces of microplastics in the world's upper oceans or roughly 30 billion 500-ml plastic water bottles. Microplastics are tiny, toxic and very hard to remove from the environment. But researchers in the US have discovered that some Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) can attract and bind microplastics, making it easier to remove them from the environment.
